In the next primary, play one special interest against another.
RINO from the elite college will tell you that you have to have special interest support to win. Sorta true. The grassroots could be divided. Or hopelessly stupid and making bad calculations. Even a majority of the general population would have a tough time organizing and raising money without the muscle of some big business or special interest(s).
Rallying the grassroots in Oregon hasn’t worked for some time. One of the state GOP’s “backers” want business friendly Democrat governors with a Republican state legislature. We had that for a while and homelessness and corruption and tax hikes continued anyway.
One idea is to send your kids to the Leadership Institute. Here in Oregon if you suggest this you’re looking to get gaslighted and told “politics is your God.”
The “religious right” hasn’t been serious for a long time.
